Bruce Springsteen vs. Donald Trump

Bruce Springsteen, the iconic American rock musician, has long been known for his socially conscious lyrics and advocacy for working-class Americans. In recent years, he has been vocal in his criticism of former President Donald Trump, leading to a public feud between the two figures.
In May 2025, during a concert in Manchester, England, Springsteen denounced the Trump administration as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous.” He accused the administration of undermining democracy and betraying American values. These remarks were included in a live EP titled “Land of Hope & Dreams,” which features performances from the Manchester concert and highlights Springsteen’s political commentary.
Trump responded to Springsteen’s criticisms with a series of personal attacks on social media, labeling the musician as “highly overrated” and “dumb as a rock.” He also shared a doctored video depicting himself hitting a golf ball that strikes Springsteen, further escalating the feud.
Additionally, Trump called for a “major investigation” into Springsteen and other celebrities, including Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey, alleging that their appearances at campaign events for Kamala Harris constituted illegal campaign contributions. However, Harris’s campaign clarified that no celebrities were paid personally; only production costs were covered, as required by law.
Springsteen’s outspoken stance reflects his longstanding commitment to social and political issues, using his platform to advocate for democracy and criticize policies he views as harmful to American society.
